About Art Therapy

Expressive Art Therapy is grounded in the belief that every individual possesses an innate creativity and imagination. Through creative expression, we can shape and transform our experiences into meaningful forms of art. The process of creating art, rather than the end product, can serve as a powerful tool for healing and bridging personal and collective issues.

My Expressive Arts activities prioritize the artistic experience as a means of discovering and expressing oneself. This holistic approach integrates physical, mental, emotional, and social functioning, empowering us to give shape and form to our thoughts, emotions, and life experiences.

Expressive Art Therapy utilizes an integrative approach, drawing from a diverse range of creative expressions, including drawing, painting, coloring, sculpting, dance/movement, theater, poetry, and music.

About me 

​

​As a professional artist, I have worked across various disciplines, including theatre, music, dance, visual arts, and literature. Additionally, I have engaged in social theatre projects in the communities of Chile, Brazil, London, and Barcelona.

My background in body disciplines such as dance, yoga, bioenergetics, and Pilates inspired me to create my own method, "Expressive Motion," which I have integrated into my therapy sessions. This has provided me with a deep understanding of the connection between physical and mental health. As a certified mindfulness and health coach, I place significant attention on a healthy lifestyle, incorporating these principles into my work.

To further enhance my knowledge and skills, I studied Art Therapy at the British Association of Art Therapists during my eight years in London. I later graduated from the Institute of Art Therapy Transdisciplinary (IATBA) after completing a Master's in Art Therapy Interdisciplinary and Human Development in Barcelona.

Currently based in Barcelona, I offer private and group sessions as an art therapist, and I conduct creative workshops and seminars.
